Weekly activities for the duration of 16 September to 22 September 2022

Public hearings on Legal Aid Issue:
The objective of the event was to improve the understanding among the government, police makers, local leaders, and the relevant institution members. Through the question-and-answer session of the event community, people will get free legal advice on various issues like land disputes, family disputes, financial disputes, etc. It will help them solve their problem. This event will help to implement the lobby and advocacy program and the attitude of all relevant people will change in a positive way.

Today’s event is very effective the other legal aid activities. The people who have no information about LAS till now. They can get information in detail from this event. I am married I have problems with my husband. After 5/6 months of marriage, my husband demanded a dowry of 2 lakh taka and misbehaved with me. He sent me to my father's house without getting the dowry money. I suit him and he suits against me. I get a judgment in my favor. But he is not taking any action as per the verdict. I am living in a helpless condition. I want justice. DLAO said to her. If she wants. DLAO will provide proper legal aid services and try to ensure justice.

We will try to provide the best service for our poor people. In the next year, we will try to allocate some budget for poor victims. The secretary Union Legal Aid Committee will take steps for the active web portal. We will jointly arrange legal aid activities with PPJ Project.
